Alhamdulillahi Rabbil a'lameen.
Vassalaatu vas'salaamu a'laa Rasoolillah !!
My dear brothers and sisters, As'salaamu alaikum va rahmatullahi va barakatuhu!!
I take immenese pleasure to start my weblog here. Inshaa Allah will keep updating it once in a fortnight.
Since this is the month of holy ramadhan - the month of Quran which came as a guidance and mercy to the mankind, i thought of doing some thing that is related to Quran. Yesterday i wanted to have some verses from the Quran that could embed into a webpage. As usual i resorted to google to do the searching for me. To my surprise i was unable to get anything convincing. Continuing my search without giving up, finally i got one compressed RAR file with all the images of every verse of the holy Quran as png files. I thanked Allahu tha'laa and prayed for the good soul that did this original job.
Allah has also put another thought - why not make it more easy for everyone in the world to access these images without any difficulty, so that they can use them for various reasons - embedding in their web pages, word documents, powerpoint presentations, etc. Alhamdulillah, i uploaded all of them on to Amazon cloudfront CDN, so that each verse is accessible for any internet with a simple url. Since the images are in the CDN (Content delivery network), the retrieval is extremely fast.
Say for example, i want to embed the verse related to holy ramadhan in this blog entry, i simple have to specity the following url, <img src="http://ayah.inikah.com/2_185.png"> where the first number is the chapter and the second number is the verse. With the same notation you can access all the verses of the holy Quran. There are roughly around 6300 verses uploaded a images. If you want to download a particular verse, all you have do is to open a browser window, type in the url and "save as" dialog will open up.
Start using this webservice for all your activities around the holy Quran. May Allah accept our small efforts and grant us magfirah in this middle of ramadhan which is meant for forgiveness, aameen.
